 Four Trojan Football Student-Athletes Earned NAIA All-American Academic

(Madison, SD) -- The 2007 Football Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes were announced last week and four Trojan FOotball student-athletes were named to the list.  There are 232 student-athletes named to the NAIA All-American Academic honor.  In order to be honored as NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, one must fulfill these requirements:  the recipient must be a junior or above in academic standing; has been in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year of attendance; has a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of nomination at the nominating institution; has been certified as eligible.
 
The four Dakota State University Football student-athletes receiving this honor are:

          Gaven Davis, 6'0", 275 lbs. senior defensive lineman, is majoring in Computer Information Systems.  He is the son
          of Glen and Janet Davis of De Smet, SD.

          Mitch Lynch, 5'10", 195 lbs. senior kicker/punter, is majoring in Secondary Education.  He is the son of James and
          Linda Lynch of Helena, MT.

          Noah Sanderson, 6'1", 210 lbs. senior linebacker, is majoring in Business Management.  He is the son of Jon and 
          Liz Sanderson of Aurora, SD.

          Scott Sonne, 6'5", 225 lbs. junior tight end, is majoring in Math Education.  He is the son of Greg and Char Sonne
          of Mt. Vernon, SD.
