Morken to Play for
Trojans Men's Basketball


Dakota State University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Tim Schuring has announced the addition of guard, Zak Morken to the Trojan’s recruiting class of 2005.  By signing, he becomes the first member of this season’s recruiting class.

“Zak has great savvy for the game.  He has been well-coached and has the social, academic, and athletic back ground to succeed at Dakota State.”

Morken, a 5’11”, 175 lb, guard is a 2003 graduate of West Central High School where he averaged 18.1 ppg, 4 rebounds per game and 3.2 assists per game in his final season. During his four year career at West Central,  Zak was a 2 time
All-Conference player, played on 2 state basketball championship teams, and 3 state football championship teams.  The past two seasons he played hoops for Hastings College (NE) where he was a part time starter. 

Zak is the son of Mike and Arlys Morken of Hartford and will major in Business at Dakota State.
