Nielson Headed to Dakota State University

Hartford native and former West Central High School Trojan Adam Nielson will be joining the DSU Basketball Trojans for the 2004-05 season.  Nielson, a 6’5”, 210 lb junior forward averaged 11 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game for Dakota State Alumnus Justin Heckenlaible’s Blue Jays. 

"Adam was the first recruit that I signed at Minnesota West and I appreciated his dedication to the program the past two years,” said Coach Heckenlaible.  The thing about Adam that always impressed me was that he could care less about individual success or stats he just wanted the team to win.”

Adam is the son of Jim and Renita and plans to major in Education at Dakota State.

“This young man has a huge upside,” said Head Trojan Skipper Tim Schuring.  “His work ethic, and love for team are going to be a big asset for our program.”
