Winner High School Graduate to Play Basketball at DSU


Brett Gardner, at 6’1”, 170 lbs, and a three-sport athlete at Winner High School has decided to continue his athletic and academic careers at Dakota State University.  He will play basketball for Head Coach Tim Schuring and the Trojans next season.

Gardner made his mark on the Winner High School basketball program this past season by averaging 14.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.  For his efforts, Brett was named Team MVP and All-Big Dakota Conference. He was also a team captain for the 2003-2004 Team.

“Brett’s a winner,” said Schuring.  “He comes from a tremendous program at Winner and has a great understanding of what it takes to be successful.”

Gardner, the son of Bonnie and Gardner, was named Academic All-State in 2003-2004 and will major in education at Dakota State University.
