Dakota State Men's Basketball inks Calles


Dakota State University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Tim Schuring has announced the signing of Frankie Calles, a 5’11”, point guard from Imperial Valley College in Imperial, CA. 

Calles, a two-year starter and team captain for the IVC averaged 14 points and 6 assists per game this past season. For his efforts, he was named All-Conference. By signing, he will reunite with form IVC hoopsters Ian McKeithen and Anthony Scott who return to DSU in 2004-2005 for their senior seasons. 

Frankie plans to major in business at Dakota State and is the son of Elizabeth Calles of San Diego, CA.

“We think the world of Frankie” said Schuring. “He is one of those young men who just know how to make a team better because of his hard-nosed approach to the game of basketball.
