Two Signed to Play for
Trojan Men's Basketball

- Dakota State University Men's Basketball Head Coach Wade Kooiman
would like to announce the signings of Gunner Krogman and Brice
Christensen to play for Trojan Men's Basketball program.
Krogman
comes from Todd County High School where he was three time Big
Dakota All-Conference and West River All-Conference. He
was also named to Lakota Nation All-Tournament Team twice.
Krogman recorded a triple-double in a game and surpassed 1,000th
career point during his senior year. He averaged 15.6
points per game and 7.0 rebounds with 4.1 assists and 3.2 steals
for Todd County.
"I am excited to be coaching a West River athlete of this
caliber," said Kooiman. "Gunner has great awareness and
high basketball I.Q. I anticipated him having success both
academically as well as athletically during his time at Dakota
State."
In 2006, he was a member of the North American Indigenous Games.
Gunner is the son of Stanley Krogman and Namoni Two Hawk of
Mission, SD.
Christensen,
a senior from Deuel High School, averaged 10 points per game,
six rebounds, and six assists. He was named to the Best
Free Throw Percentage in the Lake Central Conference and led the
team to a 16-5 overall record, including District Championship
runner-up honor. Christensen earned All-Conference, Team
Co-Captain, and Academic All-State honors at Deuel High School.
He is a member of the National Honor Society and also lettered
in football and golf.
"Brice is a solid addition to our freshman class," stated
Kooiman. "His size allows him to play different positions
on both sides of the ball. I am excited at the potential
he possesses!"
Brice is the son of Dean and Shirlyn Christensen of Clear Lake,
SD.
