Ciz Headlines Trojan Baseball School Record Book

(Madison, SD) - Five Trojan Baseball student-athletes had broken either
individual or career school records this past spring season.
The Trojans finished their season with a DAC regular season
runner-up and DAC Postseason Tournament runner-ups honors.
Senior pitcher Jason Ciz broke four
different career school records categories. He made 54
appearances in his four year career at Dakota State from 2005-2008,
breaking the old record of 51 appearances by Matt Schuster from
2002-2005. In addition, Ciz surpassed Schuster’s 15 career
complete games with 17. He started in a school record 40
career games, which was previously set by Schuster with 34.
Ciz amassed a school record 25 career wins at Dakota State
University. Jason is the son of John and Dee Ciz of Wheatland,
WY, and graduated from DSU with a major in Exercise Science.
Jeff Savas, senior outfielder from
Auburn, WA, tied for third in most doubles in a single season with
14. Jeff is the son of George and Dianne Savas and majors in
Exercise Science at Dakota State University.
Seniors shortstop Greg Biagi and catcher
Mike Young hit eight home runs this season and tied for third for
most home runs in a single season. Greg is the son of Robert
and Deborah Biagi of Colfax, WA and is majoring in Computer Graphic
Design. Mike is the son of Steve and Lupe Young of La Quinta,
CA and majors in Political Science at DSU.
David Morgan recorded eight saves this
season which is second in the Trojan Baseball School Record Book,
one short behind Jeremy Daul with nine saves. David is the son
of David and Kathy Morgan of Kelso, WA and is majoring in Exercise
Science at Dakota State University.
