Morgan Named Baseball Pitcher of the Week

(Madison, SD) - The Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) announced Trojan Baseball's David Morgan for DAC's Pitcher of the Week honor for the week of March 24-30, 2008.
Morgan picked up a pair of saves and a win out for the Trojans' bullpen in helping his team to a 3-0 mark for the week, including 2-0 start in the conference play. In three games last week, he pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up no runs and no hits with nine strikeouts and one walk. Morgan is currently 3-2 with four saves and 2.81 ERA this season for the Trojans.
According to the NAIA DakStats statistical website, Morgan ranks #10 in the nation in runs allowed per game with an average of 1.1 runs. In addition, he ranks #18 in earned runs allowed (0.8), #19 in batters struck out per 9 (10.9), and #25 in opponent batting average (0.192).
David is the son of David and Kathy Morgan of Kelso, WA. He is a transfer from Grays Harbor Community College and is a senior majoring in Exercise Science at Dakota State University.
