Trojan Baseball Moves Up Two Spots
in NAIA Region III Rankings

March 31, 2008

(Madison, SD) - In the fourth NAIA Region III poll released today (March 31), the Trojan Baseball team moved up two spots to third place after a 3-0 record for the week.  The Trojans defeated Mayville State 13-9 in a non-conference action last Wednesday (March 26), and swept Minot State, 8-5 and 2-1 last Sunday (March 30) to open up the DAC Conference season with a 2-0 conference record.

For the third straight week, Jamestown (13-5, 1-1 DAC) remained first after splitting a doubleheader with Dickinson State last Saturday (March 29).  Midland Lutheran dropped from second to fifth as Northwestern (IA) moved up to second place, followed by Dakota State at third and Briar Cliff at fourth.  Dakota Wesleyan is sixth to round up the NAIA Region III Poll.

The Trojans will be on the road to North Dakota this weekend as they take on Dickinson State in a four-game weekend series in Dickinson, ND, on Saturday, April 5th, and Sunday, April 6th.  The doubleheader will start at 1:00 pm (MT) on each day.
