(Madison, SD) - Dakota State University Men’s and Women’s Track and Field team competed in the Sioux City Relays last Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th.

Laura Tewes, senior from Mayer, MN, highlights the Dakota State University Women’s Outdoor Track and Field team as she continued her unbeaten streak winning streak at the high jump.  She finished first with a height of 5’6” at the Sioux City Relays.  Other women’s top place finishers at the Sioux City Relays:

The Dakota State University Men’s Outdoor Track and Field team were led by double winner Chris Heezen in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:19.36, and 10,000 meter run in 31:33.08.  Tyler Van Peursem won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:55.03.  The distance medley relay team, consisted of Van Peursem, Cody Foreman, Matt Fideler, and Anthony Drealan, set a new DSU school record in 10:23.82.  Other top men’s place finishers at the Sioux City Relays:
