(Madison, SD) – Dakota State University Men’s and Women’s Track and Field team finally was able to get in another meet, competing at the Wayne State College Sunshine Invitational on Monday, April 14th.

Laura Tewes, senior from Mayer, MN, continued her assault on the record board as she won the high jump at 5’9 Ό”.  Her jump is a new Dakota State University school record, NAIA National Qualifying Standard, and presently the best jump in the NAIA.  Other women’s top performances at the Wayne State College Sunshine Invitational:

“Coaches Buzz Stevenson and Trent Mack were both pleased with the effort put forth by the track and field team.  The team stepped up their intensity from the last meet.”  The Trojans will participate in the Sioux City Relays on Friday, April 19th and Saturday, April 20th in Sioux City, IA, before returning home on Friday, April 25th as the Trojans host the DSU Invitational at the Trojan Field.
