(Dickinson, ND) - Dickinson State is the preseason favorite
in the 2008 DAC Preseason Softball Coaches' Poll.
The Blue Hawks picked up five first place votes to earn the
number one spot in the rankings. Minot State received
the two remaining first place ballots to place second.
Jamestown College ranked third, followed by Valley City
State, Dakota State, Black Hills State, and Mayville State.
The first conference games are slated for March 29.
The poll was conducted by the Dakota Athletic Conference.
The Trojan Softball team will open their season on February
8th and 9th as they will be taking part of the Grand View 24
Hours of Softball Invitational Tournament. The Trojans
will open their season February 8th, taking on host team
Grand View, followed by Northwestern (IA) on February 9th at
12:00 midnight and 9:00 pm, and finish the tournament by
taking on Iowa Wesleyan at 11:00 pm.
