RAPID CITY - South Dakota Tech's Jennie Malone tied a school record with six three-pointers and also dropped a game-high 26 points as the Lady Hardrockers downed Dakota State 75-64 Saturday evening in a Dakota Athletic Conference women's college basketball game at Goodell Gymnasium.  Malone made six of her nine attempts from beyond the arc, tying Ann Konechne's single-game record set during the 1998-99 season.

More importantly, the Lady 'Rockers (12-6, 3-2 DAC) were able to get a big conference win a night after blowing a double-digit lead in the second half during a 67-59 loss to Jamestown College.

Dakota State (12-6, 5-2) entered the game with a one-game lead in the DAC, but looked sluggish after a win over Black Hills State on Friday night. Tech's starting five out-pointed the Dakota State starters 72-39.
The score was knotted at 20 with 7:32 left in the first half before Tech went on a 16-6 run to go up 36-26 at intermission.

The Lady 'Rockers went up 54-32 on a three-ball by Malone with 13:45 left, however, Dakota State came back and managed to get within 10
(61-51) with the ball with 6:11 showing on the clock.  But, Malone got hot for Tech again and buried 3s on back-to-back possessions to put Tech back up by 14 with 4:47 to go.

Malone tallied a game-high four steals, and also went 10-of-16 from the field while playing the entire 40 minutes.  Brenda Bassett ended up with 15 points for Tech, while Quinn Godecke added 12 markers, and Melanie Vedvei had 11 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals.  Tech shot 11-of-21 from three-point range, one make shy of the single-game school record.

For Dakota State, Angela Carr scored 13 points, Jessica Van Loy had 11, and Sara Nelson added 10 points and nine boards.
