Dakota State University's Lady Trojans completed a 2-0 performance in the TeamMakers Women's Basketball Classic with an 83-58 win over host Dakota Wesleyan University Friday at the Mitchell Corn Palace.  The Lady T's raised their season mark to 11-5, while forcing DWU into a 5-12 mark.

"Overall, we played pretty well at the Classic this weekend", said DSU Coach Jeff Dittman "We were able to generate a lot of offense the second half against Wesleyan and defensively, we held them below 60 points.  I would have liked for us to defend the three point shot a little better but DWU has some excellent shooters with very long range.  They extended our defense quite a bit.  Fortunately, we were able to hit some threes of our own and counter their shooting."

Angela Carr, who didn't score for the Lady T's in their 74-59 win against the University of Sioux Falls on Thursday, rattled off 17 points Friday, as did Jill Hansen, to lead DSU over Dakota Wesleyan.  Carr had five of the Lady T's 11 three-pointers in the game.

Sara Nelson added 11 points and Laura Tewes added nine points as the Lady T's banged in their field goals at a 48-percent, 27-for-57 clip.  DSU also was sharp at the free throw line, going 18-22.

The Lady T's outrebounded DWU 34-30 with Tewes claiming seven caroms, Nelson and Hansen six apiece, and Jessica VanLoy five. VanLoy also had four assists.
