Mary essentially put away the Lady T's at the charity stripe, outscoring DSU 29-5 from the freethrow line.  "We battle Mary pretty well throughout the game," said Lady T's Coach Jeff Dittman.  "Until the last five mintues, this was a single-digit game, but fatigue became a bit of a factor down the stretch for us as we were forced to play some people long minutes due to fould problems.  We just killed ourselves at the freethrow line tonight, shooting only 28 percent."

Mary (25-2 overall) led the Ldy T's by just eight points, 39-31, at halftime.

Andrea Ronderos collected a game-high 18 points for the Lady Marauders, followed by 17-point games by Jessica Zundel and Natalie Brunner and 12 from Kara McGuinness.  Zundel completed a double-double with 12 rebounds.

DSU got 13 points from Sara Nelson and 10-point displays by Ashlei Fawbush and Amanda Zephier.  The Lady T's had four more field goals, 25-21, than Mary, but the Marauders had a 7-1 edge in converting 3's.  Zephier also had seven rebounds, Stacy Dunklau and Nelson each had six, and Sandy Smith added five.

Jamestown surged to a 40-22 first half-ending lead, which helped keep the Jimmies ahead in the second half even though the Lady T's matching Jamestown point for point.

"We had some good individual performances in this game, but we didn't play well as a team," cited Dittman.  DSU got double-figure scoring

"We just didn't generate enough offense to win a game like this," said Dittman after losing to Mary, who entered Friday's play as the NAIA's third-ranked women's team at 17-1 overall and 8-0 in the league."

"If we are going to have a shot at beating one of the best teams in the country, you have to be able to execute and finish shots - and we didn't," added Dittman.  "We had some excellent individual performances, but we couldn't sustain our runs long enough to get the lead."

Freshmen Jessica VanLoy and Angie Carr each had 14 points, while Amanda Zephier added 11.  Dunklau had nine of the Lady T's 40 rebounds, while Zephier added six.

Mary led 33-25 at halftime and had a 36-30 second-half scoring edge over DSU.  "Defensively, we did a decent job," cited Dittman.  "Mary is averaging 85 points a night and almost 50-perent field goal shooting, and we held them to 69 points and 45 percent shooting (25-59).  So, most of the blame for the loss has to fall on our offense."

Mary got 22 points and 10 rebounds by Natalie Brunner.  Nicole Meier added 16 tallies and Andrea Ronderos had 14.  Jessica Zundel and Brunner each had 10 rebounds as Mary claimed 42 boards for the night.
