Robin
Grinager's 3-point basket Saturday proved to be crucial
for the Lady T's as her long-distance shot set up Dakota
State University's 70-65 overtime win over Black Hills
State. Grinager's shot
came with just 1.7 seconds left in regulation, which
knotted the game at 57-57.
"We
got the ball to Ashlie Fawbush, who broke their press
and made a quick pass to Jill Hansen," said DSU Coach
Jeff Dittman of the game-tying shot. "Jill then made a
kick-out pass to Robin, who hit the tying 3-pointer."
The Lady T's then outscored Black Hills State
13-8 in the extra period to nail down the five-point
win.
"We
got some great performances in the second half and in
the overtime," added Dittman. "Besides the key
3-pointer, Robin also jumped in front of a potential
steal in the overtime, got fouled and hit two free
throws that put us up by four points. That was a huge
play. Black Hills was never able to get any closer than
four points after that."
