Universities in North Dakota on Friday and Saturday.
With the wins, Coach Jeff Dittman's Lady Trojans ran their

Friday and Saturday.

60, Valley City 56
It took some last-minute heroics by Amy Balk and the Lady
T's defense to pin down the four-point victory Friday.
Trailing by a point, Balk hit a driving shot, was fouled and
then completed the three-point play by making the free
throw.
"We didn't allow Valley City
to score on its next possession, and they were forced to
foul after that," said Dittman. "We hit eight
straight free throws to seal the win."
Balk ended the game with 10 points,
while Jessica Honermann led the Lady T's with 14 points.
Hali McClelland and Jennie Sonne contributed eight points
apiece.
With each team
hitting 22 field goals, DSU had a 13-8 scoring edge at the
free throw line and a 33-25 rebound advantage.
Honermann had nine rebounds, while McClelland had eight.
Valley City, which led 21-20 at
halftime, got 15 points by Ali Clarys, Jessica James added
12 and Darcie Engelby and Missy Leno had 11 apiece.
James and Engelby each had six rebounds.

77, Mayville 66
On Saturday, Jessica Honermann garnered 24 points, hitting
10 of her 13 field goals. Balk, who went 9-12 at the
charity stripe, also had 19 points while Kruger added 11.
"We had a big night
offensively," said Dittman. "We had a size
advantage against Mayville, so we ran a triple post set
against them most of the night. Our guards did an excellent
job of finding the inside trio for easy baskets."
Both teams swiped 32 rebounds, with
Sonne claiming nine caroms and Honermann eight. DSU
led 48-38 at halftime.
Mayville got 13 points from
Kristeen Hoffman and 11 more by Lindsey Eliason, while
Andrea Sebelius added 10 rebounds.
