At the DSU Fieldhouse, the Dakota State Lady T's continued to struggle with and lose to fellow DAC-10 foes.  Jamestown College and the University of Mary handed out consecutive-nights' defeats of 55-51 and 78-66 to Dakota State on Friday and Saturday.  In both cases, Dakota State couldn't muster enough offense to get victories.

"We had another game that we led the majority of the time, but couldn't finish," said DSU head coach Jeff Dittman of the Lady T's loss Friday to Jamestown, in which DSU had an eight-point, 25-17, halftime lead only to see it evaporate."

"In four of our last five games, we have led for more than 30 minutes of the game, but can't find a way to close it out," said Dittman.  "I have been very pleased with our defensive efforts in games."

Dakota State's Mandy Kruger (20) and the University of mary's Kari Wilcox (45) and Cari Donnolly all have shots at claiming the basketball on this play during the Lady T's 78-66 loss to Mary here Saturday.

As for Saturday's defeat to Mary, Dittman said, "We had some match-up problems that Mary was very good at exploiting. They have a very tall, strong team and we weren't able to contain them inside. That's why they wound up shooting 49 percent from the field against us. ... They also hit 88 percent from the free-throw line to our 52 percent."

The Lady T's travel to North Dakota to take on Dickinson and Minot State universities this coming weekend.

"Our downfall (against Jamestown) was at the free-throw line where we missed 16 shots", said Coach Dittman. Jennie Sonne and Hali McClelland were the only double-figures scorers for the Lady T's, garnering 15- and 14-point outings.  Erin Nielsen also contributed seven points and Trisha Grablander five as the Lady T's shot just 18-of-58 from the field and 15-31 at the charity stripe.
