  Two Lady T's were named to the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II All-American teams.  The announcement was made after the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II National Championship Game Tuesday night (March 18).  Jessica VanLoy was named to NAIA All-American Second Team, while Laura Tewes was listed as NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.

VanLoy, a 5'10" senior forward from Wabasso, MN, was named to NAIA All-American 2nd Team.  This is the third consecutive year she received NAIA All-American honors.  She was named to NAIA
All-American Honorable Mention both her sophomore and junior seasons.  For the 2007-08 year, she led the team in scoring with 13.4 points per game, 4.9 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per game.  According to the DakStats NAIA statistical website, VanLoy finished 19th in the nation in field goal percentage (52.3%), 22nd in assists per game, and 46th in steals per game.  She was named the Dakota Athletic Conference "Most Valuable Senior" and was a 1st Team All-Conference selection this season.  Jessica is the daughter of John and Susan VanLoy of Wabasso, MN, and is majoring in Exercise Science at Dakota State University.

Tewes, a 6'1" senior forward from Mayer, MN, was cited as an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention recipient.  She averaged 13.1 points per game and led the team in rebounding with an average of 7.5 rebounds.  Tewes amassed 50 blocks this season, which she is ranked 33rd in the nation in blocks per game (1.6).  She has been named to DAC 2nd Team All-Conference squad the past two years.  Laura is the daughter of Doug and Sally Tewes of Mayer, MN and is majoring in Biology for Information Systems (Pre-Veterinary Medicine) at DSU.

The Lady T's finished the 2007-08 season with a 21-11 overall record that included their third consecutive Dakota Athletic Conference Championship.  They also received an at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament based on their 9th place national ranking at the end of the year.  At the National Tournament, the Lady T's reached the NAIA "Sweet Sixteen" round
