Peterson Earn Honors

Sioux Falls, S.D. – Ronnie Gasca of the University of Sioux Falls and Krista Peterson of Dakota State University are this week's South Dakota-Iowa Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Week.

     Peterson, a 5-foot-9 senior from Berlin, Wisconsin, is the Women's Player of the Week.  In wins over Huron (102-72) and Mount Marty (79-61), Peterson had 36 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists and one steal.  In the win over the Lancers in the opening game of the SDIC tournament, Peterson scored 25 points and had three rebounds, one assist and one steal.  For the week, Peterson was 13 of 19 from the floor (.684), including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, and was 7 of 15 from the freethrow line.
