Sara Nelson Scores 1000th Point
for Lady T's

Sara Nelson scored her 1,000 career point in the DAC postseason quarterfinals against Dickinson State in the DSU Field House last night (Wednesday).  After scoring a career high 27 points in the game last week, Nelson needed only 14 points in last night's game to reach the 1000 point mark.  She finished with a total of 24 points, going 10 for 15 in field goals and 4 for 6 at the free throw line.

Nelson, a 6'2" senior center, was honored as DAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week of February 12-18.  She is the daughter of Larry and Mary Nelson of Dell Rapids, SD.

The Lady T's (19-10, 10-4) were the regular season DAC champions and are currently ranked #14 in the final NAIA Division II poll.  They handed Dickinson State a 79-45 defeat in the DAC quarterfinal game last night and will host Black Hills State (17-12, 7-7) in the tournament semifinals Saturday, February 24.
