Named to DAC All-Conference Team

     Melanie Vedvie, a sophomore from S.D. Tech, has been named most valuable player and Jenn Sundahl of Minot State University the Most Valuable Senior in this year's Dakota Athletic Conference post-season awards.  Vedvie led the league in scoring (19.4 ppg) and was second in rebounding with 7.69 per game.  Sundahl helped lead the Beavers to a share of the Conference Championship with Dakota State and was one of three athletes named Defensive Player of the Year.

     Dakota State's Jessica VanLoy was named to the second team honor unit.  VanLoy is a 5-10 sophomore forward from Wabasso, MN.  Jessica led the Lady T's in rebounding, assists and steals, while finishing third on the team in scoring.  She has shown her versatility by moving from the small forward position she played last year to the point guard spot position this year.    

     Jessica is listed in five DAC statistical categories for total rebounds, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, assists,  and steals.  She also finished sixth in the Dakota State record book for single season assists with 127. 

    Angela Carr, a sophomore from Flandreau, SD, was named to the thrid team All-Conference squad.  Carr finished the season as the team's leading scorer and was second in assists and steals.  She was also one of the top three-point shooters in the league in both accuracy and shots made.  Angela finished the season breaking Dakota State records in career three-pointers made ((89) and shooting accuracy (35.9%), single season three-point accuracy (38.3%) and single season freethrow accuracy (84.7%). 

     Sheila Green Gerding was named coach of the year, leading the Minot State squad to a 10-4 conference record and a share of the Dakota Athletic Conference title.
