Academic All-Americans

     "Rene, Robin and Andrea have proved themselves not only on the basketball court but also in the classrooms," said DSU Coach Jeff Dittman. "They've shown that by achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average, one of the qualifications for the honor."  

     These Lady T's also had to attain junior class academic status and make "significant contributions" to the team, according to Dittman.  All three are juniors.

Renae Bottum Andrea Gullickson Robin Grinager

     Bottum and Gullickson, who are from Tulare and Flandreau, respectively, are seeking elementary education degrees. Grinager, who is from Lead, is pursuing a business and marketing degree.

     "Additionally, these ladies have been selected for positions of leadership on campus," cited Dittman. "They have been outstanding representatives of our basketball program."

     On the basketball court this past season, Bottum scored 247 points, Grinager 118 and Gullickson 224.  Bottum led the Lady T's on defense, nabbing 60 steals. She also had 60 rebounds.  Gullickson was among the Lady T's top rebounders, grabbing 143 rebounds. Grinager had 23 assists, 20 steals and 44 rebounds.
