Angie Eliason, a native of Reynolds, North Dakota, has been named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Dakota State University.  Angie received her B.S. Degree from Mayville State University in 1998 and her Master of Science in Athletic Administration from University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2000.  While at Kearney, she served as a graduate assistant for the Lopers basketball program.

“ I am very excited to be joining a quality program like Dakota State University.  They have consistently displayed the ability to put quality athletes on the court and be extremely competitive.”

As an undergraduate, Angie spent one season at Williston State College, then transferred to Mayville State University where she excelled on the basketball court.  During her tenure at Mayville, she compiled impressive statistics including a 20-point per game average over her three year career.  She still hold numerous records at Mayville State including most points in a game (41) and most three point baskets in a game (9).  Angie was an All-NDCAC selection for three years and her career was topped off when she was named Most Valuable Graduating Senior in 1998.

Before accepting the Dakota State University position, Angie served as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Valley City State University, where she also taught courses in the Division of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

"I am looking forward to working with Angie next season," states Lady T's Coach Jeff Dittman.  "Angie was an outstanding collegiate athlete and has experience recruiting and coaching.  She is also an intense competitor and a motivated worker.  I feel she will be able to help us in a number of areas."
