Kathy
Shypulski,
one of Dakota basketball players over
the past few years, endowed a scholarship for the women's
basketball program.
She, along with her parents, Jerry and Ann Shypulski of
Tracy, Minn., were present on
Oct. 27 to present the endowment to Dr. Tom Gioglio, DSU's
athletic director, and her former coaches, Jeff Dittman
and Dr. Judy Dittman.
Shypulski helped DSU to two

2000 and 2001, where they had respective Elite Eight and
Sweet Sixteen finishes in Sioux City.
While helping her fellow Lady T's
to their goals, Shypulski was also a first-team
all-conference selection twice, an honorable-mention
All-American in 2000 and a second-team All-American
recipient in 2001. Shypulski was a two-time Academic
All-American, tabbed in both her junior and senior years.
By the end of her career,
Shypulski's name was listed 32 times in the Lady T's
record book. Among her team accomplishments: third
in career scoring with 1,432 points, first in career
3-point field goals, first in career free throw shooting
accuracy, third in career assists, third in career 3-point
field goal accuracy, fifth in career field goals, and
sixth in career free throws.
Her career was capped in her senior season by being tabbed
