Kathy Shypulski Scores
1000th Point for the Lady T's

     Kathy Shypulski, DSU's 5-11 senior guard, has entered an elite group of women's basketball players for Dakota State University.  In the championship game of the Security Bank Tournament against Mount Marty on November 26th, Kathy dropped in her 1000th career point.   Kathy is the daughter of Jerry and Ann Shypulski of Blair, MN.

     In the win, Kathy contributed 9 points while shooting 4-for-11 from the field and 1-for-3 from the three-point arc.  

     After 15 games, Kathy has moved into the 6th spot in all-time scorers at DSU with 1121 points.  She currently trails Deb Boomsma (1159 points) for fifth.  For the season, Kathy is shooting 41.3 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from the three-point line and 83.7 percent from the free throw line.

     For her career, Kathy scored 283 points her freshman year, 230 points her sophomore year, 383 points her junior year and currently has 225 points with thirteen regular season contests remaining.
