     Beep....Beep the alarm on the computer notifies me that it is 2:00 am. My eyes are glossy and my fingers are tight but I will not give up!  I have ordered everything online...books...shoes...clothes... There has got to be a spot where I can find what I am looking for.  I need an athlete with just the right combination of talent, competitiveness, respect and dedication.  The search engines are useless!!!  Will I forever be stuck in cyberspace hopelessly searching...... Just as I am about to give up my fingers start magically typing something....what is this? DakotaStateLadyTs.com.  This is it!! I know I can find what I need here.

      Jessica Christensen and Trisha Grablander, the two latest signees for the Dakota State Women's Basketball program have also finished a search of their own and found themselves at Dakota State University. 

     Jessica Christensen comes to Dakota State from Hartford, S.D., where she attended West Central High School.  Her parents are Dave and Teresa Christensen.  This 5'10" versatile forward was active in both basketball and track as well as excelling in the classroom.  As a member of the West Central Track team, Jessica was voted team MVP for 4 years.  Her senior year of basketball she averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists a game.  She also received 1st team All-Conference honors three times, was a Trojan award winner, and was named MVP of the semi-final and championship games of the 1999 State A basketball tournament.  As a student, she was on the "B" honor roll for four years and on the "A" honor roll for one semester. 

      The second athlete to find a home at Dakota State University is Trisha Grablander.  Trisha, a shooting guard, will add defense and perimeter shooting to the Lady T arsenal.  As a high school athlete, Trisha was involved in volleyball, track and basketball. In track, she was a member of the school record holding 4 x 100 and the 4 x 200 relay teams, which both finished 2nd at the State Meet. In volleyball, she was voted All-Conference her senior year. As a basketball athlete, she was All-Conference for two years, All-State one year, Area Athlete of the week three times and a selection to the SD All-Star game. In her senior season, Trisha averaged 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 5 steals a game. 

     Trisha plans on majoring in Fitness/Wellness Management at Dakota State.
