The Dawn Gaffney Endowed Scholarship

    
     This women's basketball endowment was established by Lou Gaffney on behalf of his daughter, Dawn, to assist in the recruitment of quality women basketball players.  

     Dawn was a four-year letterwinner at Dakota State from 1994-98.  Her baskeball accomplishments were outstanding, including being named Dakota State's first Third Team NAIA All-American in 1998.  In 1997 and 1998, Dawn was also named as an NAIA Academic All-American.  Her senior year, she was named a First Team All-SDIC player and the Outstanding SDIC Female Athlete of the Year for both her athletic and academic accomplishments.
