While DSU teams have dominated the team
titles, the individual athletes have received numerous honors. Fifty-three DSU athletes
have been named to the SDIC and DAC-10 All-Conference teams,
five of those athletes have received the
conference's Most Valuable Player award and two
have been named the league's Most Valuable Senior. The Lady T's have placed 6 athletes on the All-District
Team and sixteen have been named to the NAIA Academic All-America squad. DSU
has also had three All-Americans
and five Honorable Mention All-American selections.
Dakota State athletes have also set some astonishing individual
records. Twelve athletes
have scored more than 1000 points during their career at DSU and eight have scored more
than 400 points in a single season. Thirteen Lady T's have grabbed 500 or more rebounds and
one athlete passed for 528 assists for a career record. |
