As a
Freshman: Ashley
started the season well, averaging almost 20 minutes a game before an
injury kept her out of play in January. Had a career high 12
points against Jamestown College and 9 rebounds against Augustana.
Ashley's strength and quickness helped her develop into a solid post
defender and her speed caused problems for opposing posts and helped the
Lady T's transition game.
As a High School Athlete: Ashley was a 4-year letter winner from
Dell Rapids High School. As a senior, she averaged 10.3 points per
game and 6.2 assists per game while leading her Quarrier squad to the S.D. Class A
Basketball Championship and a perfect 26-0 season record.
Ashley was a three-time All-Conference selection and was named to the
Class A
All-Tourney team. She finished 8th in the high jump at the S.D.
State Track Meet. Ashley was a Who's Who Among American H.S.
Students nominee and a Regent's Scholar.
