Jessica Honermann played her way to
becoming the Dakota-10 Conference Player of the Week with strong
performances at Valley City and Mayville last weekend.
The 6-foot senior guard banked in her field goals at a 16-of-27,
59-percent clip, and was 6-8 at the charity
stripe for 38 points in DSU's 60-56 win over Valley City State
and a 77-66 win at Mayville State University.
"Jessica had an outstanding
weekend," said Jeff Dittman, DSU's head coach.
"She was dominant in all three phases of the game.
She had 14 points in the opener and followed with 24 points in
the second game of the series. She also averaged 7.5
boards a game and had four steals and four blocks at the
defensive end."
Jessica attended Adrian High School and
is the daughter of Roy and Karen Honermann. She is pursuing an
Elementary Education degree at
DSU.
