As a Senior: Jennie finishes her career at DSU with five career and two single season records. She is 2nd in field goal percentage (58.4%), 3rd in rebounding (658), 4th in blocked shots (53), 7th in freethrows (231 made) and 10th in scoring (1055 points). Jennie reached the 1000 point plateau against Huron University in February. As a Junior: Jennie led the team in rebounding (162), field goal percentage (.527), and was second in scoring (9.6 ppg.). A late season virus forced her to miss two games and play only sparingly in the final three. Jennie was outstanding again for the Lady T's, dominating the low post position and drawing double- and triple-team coverage in most games. Jennie was selected All-Conference for the second straight year. As a Sophomore: Started all 32 games. Jennie led the country in field goal shooting accuracy, hitting 67% of her shots. She was second in scoring for the Lady T's, averaging 13.7 points a game, led the team in rebounding with 222 rebounds, and was second in blocked shots with 25. Jennie was named 1st team All-Conference. As a Freshman: Jennie played in 29 games, averaging eight minutes a night. As the season progressed, Jennie showed significant improvement in the low post area. She shot 45 percent from the field on 23-51 shooting and 58 percent from the freethrow line (18-31). Jennie grabbed 1.6 boards a night. As a High School Athlete: averaged 17 points per game as a senior while leading her Mt. Vernon Mustangs to a fourth place finish in the South Dakota State "B" Tournament last November. A four-time All-Conference player, Jennie was also selected to the Class "B" All-State team both her junior and senior years as well as the State "B" All-Tournament squad. As a junior, Mt. Vernon finished sixth in the State Tournament. As a senior, Jennie led her team in field goal percentage and rebounding and was named the team MVP the past two years. Jennie was also named the MVP at the 3-Class Shootout held in Salem, S.D., in December. She was also the "Blue" team MVP at the Lady T's Senior All-Star game hosted by Dakota State University. For all these accomplishments, Jennie was selected to the 1999 "Who's Who in Sports" team. Jennie was an an Honor Roll student throughout her career at Mt. Vernon. She was named a national Essay winner in high school, was awarded a trip to California and has been a "Who's Who in Academics" recipient. Statistics
