Henning is entering her ninth season at Dakota
State University. Henning has 20 years of coaching experience–18
of those as a head coach.
She began her collegiate playing career at Eastern Wyoming Junior
College and finished her volleyball career at the University of Northern
Colorado, where she also earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees.
She began her coaching career at Rangely, Colorado. From 1989 to 1993
her teams captured the GORE League conference championship.
In 1993,
Henning came to South Dakota and was an assistant coach at USD for two
seasons. She took over the Sioux Falls Washington volleyball program in
1994 where Henning lead her team to six consecutive state tournament
appearances including state runner ups in 1998, 1999, and 2000. In their
inaugural year in the conference, her 1998 squad captured the Greater
Dakota Conference Volleyball Championship.
In her
nine years at Dakota State, the volleyball program has
become a force in the tough Dakota Athletic Conference.
They have qualified for post season play five of the eight years of
Henning's tenure. Coach Henning's players have earned thirteen
athlete of the week, eighteen conference player of the week, ten all
conference player, and five all region player awards. The teams
commitment to excellence has also been evident in the classroom where
Henning has coached thirty-five Academic All-Conference players and six
Academic All-Americans. Her teams have consistently carried a
cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher during her entire career at Dakota
State.

Hitter's Clinic I - June 13th, Hitter's Clinic II - June 23rd |
 Hitting
is the focus of this one day clinic. Students in 5th through 12th
grade are eligible for this clinic. The cost for the clinic is
$50.00 per person and includes lunch. Various hitting approaches
and shots will be covered. Athletes will get individualized
attention on all aspects of their hitting approach and arm swing.
The camp will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. Each hitter's
clinic is limited to the first 75 participants.
Registration deadline is June 9, 2008 for
clinic I and June 18, 2008 for clinic II.

Setter's
Clinic-
June 14th |
 Setting
is the focus of this one day clinic. Students in 5th
through 12th grade are eligible for this clinic. The cost
for the clinic is $50.00 per person and includes lunch.
Setting technique will be addressed as well as drill work on
various setting conditions along with offensive and defensive
positioning for the setter. The morning session will focus
setting mechanics, and the afternoon will focus on advanced
setting techniques. The camp will begin at 9:00 AM and end
at 4:00 PM.
Registration deadline is June 10, 2008.

Defensive
Clinic- June 16th |
 Defensive
skills are the focus of this one day clinic. Students in
5th through 12th grade are eligible for this clinic. The
cost for the clinic is $50.00 per person and includes lunch.
Defensive skills and court movements will be addressed during
this clinic. The morning session will focus on basic
defensive skills and court movement. The afternoon session
will focus on advanced defensive skills and court movements.
Specific positions and their defensive responsibilities will be
addressed as well. The camp will begin at 9:00 AM and end
at 4:00 PM.
Registration deadline is June 11, 2008.

Team
Camp-June 24th & 25th |
 This
camp focuses on team development and uses a tournament
format. The camp is open to all middle and high school
teams of all levels. The cost is $90.00 per team
entered. Coaches may have as many athletes on a team
as they like.
On campus housing is
available upon request for an additional per person fee.
Please contact Coach Henning if you would like addition
information about on campus housing.
Teams will be grouped according to grade and/or level.
Teams will be regrouped for day two based on the results
from play on June 24th.
Matches will be officiated by DSU Volleyball Players,
Coaches, and high school officials.
The camp will begin at 9:00 AM on the 24th and conclude on
the 25th.
A $50.00 non refundable
deposit is required for each team at the time of
registration.

June 10, 2008.
Any
athlete that would like to be housed on campus between
clinics may do so for an additional fee--contact Coach
Henning for more information. Participants will be
housed in air conditioned dorms and supervised by camp
staff. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch will be provided
for the athlete.
