Camp Features

Camp Participants: Approximately 40-60 teams from five states will be in attendance.

Camp Location: Game sites will be at the Dakota State University Fieldhouse, the Madison Community Center, the Madison High and Middle School gyms and the Madison Armory. All sites are within five minutes of each other for ease of travel to your games. The two courts in the Madison Community Center are air-conditioned.

The Madison Community Center also features an indoor pool with an 85’ water slide. Swimming will be available to camp participants from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Camp participants may not go into the Fitness Center.

Athletic Trainer: A trainer will be on-call during camp hours. Brad Gilbert, trainer for the DSU Athletic Department, will be on-call  to assist with any injuries  Each school will be responsible for supplying any tape or training supplies required by their athletes.

Meals: Meals will not be supplied by Dakota State University. DSU will have a food stand in the Fieldhouse and the Middle School gym.  Additionally, Madison has a number of fast-food and and dine-in restaurants available for meals including: Dairy Queen, Pizza Ranch, McDonald’s, Subway, Taco John’s, and various restaurant.

Housing: DSU features two residence halls with air-conditioning. The cost is $13 per person. The first 5 teams (approximately 50 campers) who register for overnight on-campus housing will be assigned to residence halls. After that, campers will not be guaranteed on-campus rooms due to numerous summer events at DSU. Laundry facilities are available in each of the residence halls. Each team must be chaperoned in the halls the entire night. DSU will provide a dorm director to assist and answer any questions but each team is responsible for the conduct of their athletes in the residence halls.
 

Team Camp

Date: June 17-18, 2008

Cost: $275 per varsity team, $250 for JV squads.

Camp Director: Jeff Dittman, DSU Lady T's Head Basketball Coach

Games: 6 games for varsity teams, 5 for JV squads.

Officials: There will be two certified officials for each varsity game.

Camp T-shirt: Each participant and coach will receive a custom designed DSU camp t-shirt.

"No Frills" Team Camp

Date: Thursday, July 10th and Tuesday, July 29, 2008.   

Cost: $130 per varsity team, $110 for JV squads.

Games: 4 games for varsity teams, 3 for JV.

Officials: Each varsity game will have at least one certified official.
