“In order for Dakota State University to compete successfully it
needs to be able to offer competitive scholarships to qualified
student athletes. As a student athlete who received an athletic
scholarship, I did not have to worry about finding a part time job.
I was able to concentrate on being a student athlete. I appreciate
the financial assistance the Blue & Gold Athletic Club provided for
me. Without this support, I would not have been able to achieve all
that I have in the classroom and on the football field.”

these goals we as the athletes needed to practice long and hard,
coaches needed to go the extra mile for the team, and you the
alumni, friends, and businesses needed to provide the resources that

sense of pride and accomplishment! Receiving a scholarship also
alleviated some of the financial burden put on my family. As a
coach, having athletic scholarships to offer allow me to provide an
added incentive to top prospective student-athletes, which result in
Dakota State competing on a conference and national championship
