Michael Freidel
graduated from Dakota State College in 1979 with a double major in
Social Science and Physical Education. He received his Master of
Science degree from South Dakota State University in Athletic
Administration in 1990. He currently is the defensive coordinator
for the Augustana College Vikings football team and an assistant
professor. Before taking his current position Freidel served as
defensive coordinator and instructor at the University of South
Dakota. His defense ranked number one in total defense in 1995.
As an
athlete Freidel was a free agent for the San Francisco 49ers in
1979, a NAIA football All-American in 1978, All-NAIA District 12
linebacker in 1978, All-Conference in the SDIC in 1977 and 1978.
Freidel was part of a Dakota State College defense that was ranked
second in the nation, giving up just 42 points in 10 games.
Freidel resides in
Humboldt, SD with his wife Joni and their five children, Kelsey,
Jackson, Jerrod, Kylen, and Hailey.

Richard Dunlap is a
Real Estate Broker/Owner at Key Real Estate in Sioux Falls, SD and
Vice President of Key Equity Development Corporation. He and his
wife Julie have three children, Kirsten 15, Richard 9, and Sam 5.
Rick was the team
captain for the Trojan's basketball team for three straight
seasons from 1984 to the 1986-87 season. He was also the team MVP
in 1985 and 1986, and was voted best defensive player by his
teammates in three straight seasons, 1984 to the 86-87 season.
Rick was also an SDIC All-Conference selection twice, the team's
leading rebounder four years. He pulled down 634 rebounds, 126
assists and made 394 field goals, with a three point mad
percentage of 45.9 in his career at DSU.
He was named DSU's Male
Athlete of the Year for the 1986-87 season. Rick was also a Dusty
Anderson award winner for the 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons.

Julie Heinz Johnson
is currently an Associate Professor of Physical Education, head
women's basketball coach and women's golf coach at Ripon College in
Ripon, Wisconsin. Her overall record as head basketball coach is
117-108. Her team was the Midwest Conference North Division
Champions in 1995 and 96 and Conference Champions in 1996.
In 1999
Julie was promoted to associate professor. She was named Midwest
conference Coach of the Year in 1996 and the DSU Alumni Coach of the
year that same year.
Julie received her
Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 from Dakota State University,
before receiving her Masters of Science from South Dakota State
University in 1990.
As an athlete at Dakota
State Julie was named the South Dakota Iowa Conference MVP in
1987, was an All-NAIA district 12 player. She was a three-time
All-SDIC selection and a four time DSU best defensive player
selection.
Academically she was on the Dean's list in 1986 and 87.

Trish Murphy received
her A.S. in Respiratory Therapy in 1988 and her B.S. in Biology for
Information systems in 1990, both from Dakota State. She was hired
as a systems/Business Analyst in Springfield, MI and held that
position until 1998. She is currently working as an Implementation
consultant for a medical software company, McKessonHBOC in Atlanta,
GA and spends most of her time traveling to clients across the
United States.
While at Dakota State
she was captain of the basketball and track teams for three
seasons, a three-time track MVP, three-time conference track meet
MVP, two-time basketball MVP, female athlete of the year as a
junior, competed in the national track meet her senior year and
was named All-Conference twice in basketball.
