Dakota State University athletes, coaches, teams and other support personnel who have distinguished themselves through their outstanding contribution to DSU athletic programs are eligible for the Hall of Fame Award.

Nominees may or may not have played organized sports while attending Dakota State University. His or her contribution to athletics may have taken place following his or her time at Dakota State University. Team and student athlete nominees must be a graduate of a minimum of ten years to be eligible.
