Cage Trojans gain home court split

Dakota State University staged a successful 56-48 second-half rally Saturday to post an 80-75 win over the University of Mary in DAC-10 men's basketball at the DSU Fieldhouse. The Trojans trailed Mary 27-24 at halftime.

Saturday's win came after a 98-82 loss to Jamestown College Friday in the Fieldhouse, helping the Trojans to a regular-season ending 9-19 overall mark and a 6-12 record in the conference.

"Given the fact that Mary (15-13 and 9-9) is a very, very good basketball team, this might be the biggest win for us since I took over the program three years ago," said DSU Coach Tim Schuring. "I am happy for our seniors that it could happen on Seniors Night."

Dakota State, 8th seed in the DAC-10 Post-Season Tournament, begins their 1st round action, traveling to #1 Jamestown on Wednesday at 7 pm.
