Konopasek named NAIA
All-American Scholar-Athlete

Dakota State University’s Kyle Konopasek has recently being named NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Academic All-American Scholar-Athlete.  This is the second straight year that Konopasek earned this honor.  

Konopasek, who completed his college basketball career at Dakota State University, established himself as an outstanding academic student-athlete.  As a senior, he was the Team Captain of the Trojan Basketball team.  For the season, he started all 29 games for the Trojans and he scored 177 points, dished out 111 assists, had 38 steals and shot 37 percent from behind the arc.  He is a member of the Center of Excellence and  Resident Director for Emry Hall this year.

In addition, Konopasek has been named a DAC-10 Scholar Athlete.  He is a native of Verdigre, NE.

He will be graduating this May with a major in Management, Finance, and Math Information Systems.  His parents are Doug and Shelly Konopasek.
