DSU Fundamental Camps Successful

“Playing in the summer means winning in the winter” for youngsters who love the game of basketball.  At this year’s Dakota State University Fundamentals Camp, future basketball hopefuls put this concept into action with a fun packed four days of instruction from the DSU Men’s Basketball staff.

This year’s camp held June 2-5 at the DSU Fieldhouse saw 37 boys from 8 communities participate in contests and mini-clinics to help each improve at the game of basketball.  Those who attended this year’s camps came from the communities of Madison, Chester, Salem, Wentworth, and the state of Texas takes part in the event.

Two individual awards were given out at the four-day event.  Tyler Kelly received the Best Hustler award and Dustin Christiansen was selected as this years Most Improved Camper.
