Placement
Test
Information
DSU
uses
ACT
scores
and
placement
tests
to
determine
appropriate
course
placement

selected
academic
areas.
All
students
must
participate
in
the
placement
testing
process.
- If you have taken the Enhanced ACT test within
the past 5 years, you will be placed into English, Math and Reading courses
based on these scores. If your ACT math score is greater than 24, you
will complete a computerized math test. All students will complete a
short multiple-choice computer skills test.
- If you do NOT have ACT scores, and you not have
successfully completed general education courses, you will complete computerized
placement tests in writing, reading and mathematics. Sample questions
can be found at http://www.departments.dsu.edu/assessment/placement.htm.
