Students may take DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) exams to receive college credit for the knowledge acquired outside the traditional college classroom. A listing of specific course equivalencies and minimum scores can be found in the DSU Catalog. The DANTES test is a paper based test. Currently, the DANTES cost is $85.00 ($70.00 to DANTES and $15.00 to DSU). Additional information on DANTES testing can be found on the Get College Credit website. Please contact the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment at (605) 256-5101 to schedule an appointment to complete the DANTES exam.
