DSU's ACTION PLAN 1: Develop and implement a comprehensive program that improves academic advising.

·         Define advisor and advisee responsibilities and publish those and other relevant materials to online student and faculty advising handbooks

·         Determine processes for selection and training of faculty advisor

DSU's ACTION PLAN 2: Design and implement programs to enhance student success and retention.

·          Implement a web-based early alert system for student academic or behavioral concerns

·          Coordinate campus-wide tutoring services

·          Redesign DSU’s first-year experience course – Freshman Success Seminar

·          Redesign developmental education courses (pre-general education)

DSU's ACTION PLAN 3: Increase quality, quantity and diversity of students through enrollment management.

·          Increase on-campus enrollment

·          Increase enrollment of special population

•    Increase academic quality as measured by average ACT of incoming freshmen class

DSU's ACTION PLAN 4: Implement a Doctor of Science degree in Information Systems.

·          Update policies and procedures for Office of Graduate Studies and Research

·          Hire qualified faculty and staff, including Dean

·          Develop curriculum and admission criteria

·          Develop marketing plan, recruit and admit first cohort into program
