White Serves as Chair

Dr. Bruce White, Professor of Information Systems at Dakota State University, has been selected to serve as the Conference Chair for the ISECON (Information Systems Education Conference) conference for the second year. ISECON will be in Orlando, Florida in October, 1997. As chair, Dr. White will be responsible for registration, for the content of the program, obtaining the key note speakers, and the overall flow of the conference.

Dr. White has also been elected membership director for EDSIG, the Education Special Interest Group of DPMA (Data Processing Management Association). In 1996, Dr. White served as Vice President and is a past President as well. EDSIG has about 250 collegiate level Information Systems educators, and is responsible for the publication of a journal entitled The Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE). Dr. White serves on the editorial review board of JISE and edits a column called "Teaching Tips".
