Credential Files Will Be Non-Confidential

The South Dakota Career Planning and Placement Association and the South Dakota Teacher Placement Bureau have decided to go exclusively to non-confidential recommendations for placement files for teacher graduates. This change is effective as of September 1, 1996.

The states bordering South Dakota require non-confidential files, so the decisions was made to update South Dakota’s requirements. Dakota State University is advising alums to switch to non-confidential files if they plan to do any updating. The placement office will no longer be updating with confidential evaluations.
