Information Systems/Information Assurance Faculty Position

Dakota State University anticipates an open, tenure-track faculty position in information assurance/computer security/information systems, effective Fall 2009.  The College of Business and Information Systems offers graduate programs in information assurance and information systems as well as undergraduate programs in information systems.  

DSU has been selected by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a national center of excellence in information assurance education.  The college provides instruction on campus in Madison and in Sioux Falls, SD as well as via distance.  Additional information about the college and the university may be found at http://www.dsu.edu.  Madison is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Sioux Falls in the southern lakes region of the state. The area provides exceptional access to outdoor activities of all kinds. 

Individuals with an interest/experience in one or more of these areas are encouraged to consider the DSU opening: information assurance, security informatics, biometrics, computer forensics, and network security and management.  Minimum qualifications for all tenure-track positions at the University include an earned doctorate, demonstrated record of research accomplishments or demonstrated potential for research excellence as appropriate to rank, experience writing and securing grants, and effective and innovative teaching.
