  • The relation of the goals to current national trends and forecast for the discipline;
  • The effectiveness of use of resources in meeting goals;
  • The degree to which the program goals are being obtained;
  • Effectiveness/appropriateness of assessment measures/programs in
    • determining accomplishment of program goals
    • meeting the spirit and particulars of the HLC and South Dakota Board of Regents Assessment criteria and policy;
  • The strengths of the program; and
  • The areas of the program to target for improvement
  • Special issues: 
    • student recruitment / program growth
    • currency of curriculum relative to university mission
    • use of assessment data for curricular / program modifications
